I have lost any urge I had to blog today. I found out today that a guy I once dated passed away. More than that, he was a fellow soldier and a really great guy. Russ was a recruiter in my hometown and I met him not long after I got out of the Army the first time. He came along at a time in my life where I really needed someone to be nice to me and to treat me well, and he did that for me. No, it wasn’t epic love, but it was a good thing for both of us. He was hysterically funny and a good guy and my heart is heavy.
RIP, Russ.
